New Programs!!!
OCTOBER 3-6 QUILTING Join Capon guest and master quilter Isobel Meekins as she leads a group of stitchers on individual projects.
OCTOBER 17-19 WRITER'S WORKSHOP Join Capon guest Gerri Davis as she brings workshop leader Maggie Butler for a program entitled "In Your Write Mind". This workshop is deigned for any woman with a desire to explore her Creative Self through writing.
OCTOBER 24-28 DANCING with YOU as the STARS Whether you are looking to learn some basic dance steps, want to brush up on your technique, or just enjoy dancing, this special “adults only” event also offers the perfect time to enjoy the fall colors and crisp mountain air. We will provide three mornings of dance instruction, three nights of live bands and professional demonstrations. All at no extra cost to you!! If you come Sunday night, you can play “Super-Bingo” and win extraordinary prizes, like a free night’s stay! All rooms will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. So if there is a place you have always wanted to stay (Honeymoon, Log Cabin, Pavilion???), plan on reserving ahead. Take advantage of the 4-night special rate or book individual nights at reduced off-season rates. Join us for this one of a kind end of season experience!
MAIN BUILDING RENOVATIONS
The public areas of the Main Building are receiving some significant renovations during the next two Capon off-seasons. We will be adding more space to the livingroom, cardroom and library as well as opening up the buffett area into the dining room. Two fully handicapped guest sleeping rooms will be constructed on the second and third floor behind the current cardroom. (Yes, that means an elevator!) Construction began in late October and phase one is proceeding on pace to complete the necessary sections for the start of the 2010 season.

2010 RATES
Given the success of Capon's 2009 season within a still difficult economic climate, 2010 rates are about the same as 2009 (children and 3rd person rates in double rooms are exactly the same). For details about the off-season and 4-night specials, follow this link
WORD OF MOUTH TRADITION continues....
Since our guests come by way of introduction, we are always looking for the best ways to help you spread the word. Throughout 2010, we will be discussing with you ideas on sharing your Capon experience with those who would appreciate it. The slower pace of weeknights in the spring and fall are especially good times when new guests can try Capon.
During our off-season, if you would like Jonathan to come share the Capon Road Show in your community, contact us about setting up a presentation. Ron & Martha Hardman did just that, hosting a Capon event at their WindsorMeade Retirement community in Williamsburg, VA on December 7. The next trip is up to you!
