An Intro to Capon Springs

Step 1 of 4:

Imagine you're here!

Picture yourself enjoying life as it was meant to be… relaxing at an all-inclusive secluded resort nestled in the majestic West Virginia mountains. Capon Springs’ rich history, healing water, delicious food, and long-standing traditions create that nostalgic feeling that many generations of guests have described as … coming home.

Step 3 of 4:

Understand the Magic

What truly makes Capon Springs different from other resorts are all the “extras” that you just won’t find anywhere else. Operated by multiple generations of the same family, you are welcomed into a warm and caring atmosphere where everything is based on the honor system.   The set-menu and meal times mean all you have to do is show up when the bell rings!

When was the last time you and your family had an opportunity to completely “unplug” and spend quality time together?  Now imagine how great it would be that as your Capon experience draws to a close, you actually feel completely relaxed, restored, and reenergized- and already dreaming about your return!

Enjoy quiet peaceful walks around Capon’s trails and grounds. The blooms of mountain laurel, dogwoods, rhododendrons, peonies and redbud trees add unmistakable splashes of color against the spring greening trees and lawns. Come and enjoy some uninterrupted play on the golf course.

Gardens are blooming, fish are biting and the piglets make their debut at Hog Heaven. Plan for your high school or college graduation party at Capon this coming June!

Summer fun kicks in with scheduled sports activities and tournaments. Daily and weekly reservation opportunities are usually available during the middle of the month.

A jammed packed August relents the last week as many families prepare for the return to school. Arrive the Sunday before Labor Day weekend and enjoy a Capon summer experience without the commotion.

Enjoy cooler nights and crisp days as the colors of fall begin to turn. Weekdays in September offer fun and educational programs. Two nights of Bingo mean more chances to take home Capon goodies!

Maples provide brilliant displays of golden oranges and reds; dogwoods add their rusty red hues all against a backdrop of the deepest of blue skies. Pale purple-pink fall crocuses pop up through the fading garden colors. Fires blaze in the stone fireplaces. Only the bravest take a dip in Capon’s pool this month! Come for our Halloween weekend festivities- a great way to end our season.
