Planning for your Capon getaway is simple!  Our all-inclusive per-person rates cover lodging, three all-you-can-eat meals per day (and snacks too!), and a wide variety of programs and activities for guests of all ages. In, 2023, prices for adults ranged from $114/night to $207/night. There is no charge for children under the age of 5, and prices for older children range from $46/night to $101/night.

What truly makes Capon Springs different from other resorts are all the “extras” that you just won’t find anywhere else. Board of Directors

Over the years, many fourth generation Austin family members have been involved in planning Capon’s future by serving on committees, councils and even the Board.  They represent a wide variety of family branches and life experiences.  In 2018, a group of them brought forth a leadership plan for Capon’s continued success.  By both including Capon guest members who have been serving on the board and developing task forces that utilize both family and non-family members, they have created a process to plan for Capon’s long term sustainability.

Fourth Generation Austin Family Board Members:

Dan Budynk, hospitality professional living in McLean, VA, married with 4 children, great-grandson of Lou & Virginia Austin, grandson of Ted & Lyn Austin, son of Pete & Carolyn Budnyk

Chris Dorsey, attorney living in Arlington, VA, married with two children, great-grandson of Lou & Virginia Austin, grandson of Ted & Lyn Austin, son of Robin & John Dorsey

 

Megan James, living in Frederick, MD, married with two kids, great-granddaughter of Lou & Virginia Austin, granddaughter of Claire Kay Austin Bellingham and long time night watchman, John Brill, daughter of Ginny & Eddie Brill.

Jeffrey Rosenfeld, environmental engineer, living in Santa Clara, CA, married with 2 kids, great-grandson of Lou & Virginia Austin, grandson of Ted & Lynn Austin, son of Beth & Mark Rosenfeld.

 

Capon Guest Board Members:

Chris Caesar, CFO of a manufacturing company in Richmond, VA; vacations at Capon every June with his 2 daughters, mother, brother and his family; worked one season as the recreational assistant.  Chris has served on the Capon Board since 2015.

Heather Tuller, a former hospitality professional and current professional certified coach living in Chesterfield, New Jersey; vacations at Capon Springs every July with her husband, son and extended family.  Heather joined the Capon Board in November 2021.

 

 

 


Mike Trasatti, former CEO of an Auto Industry Software company, living in Keller, Texas; vacations at Capon Springs every August with his wife and two adult children and extended family.  Mike joined the board in December 2024.
